On Monday the Knox County Commission received a 68 page report here from a consultant on jail Inmate population and the overcrowding conditions.

Commissioner Justin Biggs asked how much the study cost. Chris Caldwell, Deputy Chief of Staff to Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs said $68,000. A thousand a page?

Interesting that Knox County spent millions on a Urgent Behavioral Health Care facility to take the mental health incarcerated to relieve overcrowding, very little is said of that facility and it’s effectiveness that was promised.
