I got a text that Judge Harold Wimberly has passed away. He served as Knox County Circuit Court Judge in Knox County for many years. Having left the bench in 2014.

He was a proud Democrat, but he had thousands of Republican friends and I count myself as one of those. After the election, his rulings on the bench were not partisan, as justice, should not be partisan.

Winberly was a walking talking historical super computer. He had recall of many past judicial moments. In 2016, I sat through a presentation he did on the Scopes Monkey Trial from Rhea County.

Judge served well and now Go Rest High on that Mountain!
