Town of Farragut is preparing and planning to approve an apartment complex on the Biddle Farm, bordering Concord Road, South Campbell Station Road, Brooklawn Street and Kingston Pike.
A mixed use concept similar to Northshore Town Center at Pellissippi Parkway and Northshore Drive.

More than 200 apartments inside four story buildings with an Aldi Grocery Store in the middle of the development. This will be directly in front of Farragut High School, taking the Old Kroger Shopping Center as part of it.

The title of this story mentions Archibald Roane. So, you ask who is Archibald Roane and what is his connection to Farragut. Roane was the second Governor of Tennessee, he is buried at Pleasant Forest Cemetery off of Concord Road.
Roane was a Revolutionary Soldier at Surrender of Cornwallis, he was a Member of the 1796 Constitutional Convention, he was a Superior Justice 1796 and a Supreme Judge 1819, He was Tennessee’s Second Governor 1801-1803. This monumental stone inside Pleasant Forest Cemetery was erected by the State of Tennessee in 1918.

In an unrelated development to Roane’s resting place. I am told that all the comments for the proposed apartment complex have been removed from the social network, Nextdoor, interesting that censorship is real.
