Knox County Commission Chairman Larsen Jay has inconsistent actions. In December the Commission met via ZOOM and at the Commission meeting on 12/21, he attacked a few Commissioners and Law Director David Buuck for sitting in the City County Building Main Assembly Room for the stream meeting. Commissioner Carson Dailey put the aloof Jay in his place.

BUT, now the media (including myself) get the January 2021 calendar and Jay has the meetings as ZOOM meetings, the second meeting on 1/25/2021 BUT is continuing with a two day retreat, on 1/28 & 1/29/2021 (two days in between zoom and in person) which last month the Commission voted to spend about $3,000 or so dollars and will be at Buddy’s Banquet Hall in Bearden.

So, the pandemic is too bad to meet in person BUT they can sit for 16 hours, spending tax payer dollars on facilitators and food?
