Last evening, the Karns Republican Club met and heard from Knox County Property Assessor John Whitehead. Whitehead talked about his experience in the office. He also talked about next years reassessment process and how the state law does not allow a reassessment to raise the taxes. So when the assessments are finalized, the rate is adjusted to be revenue neutral. There were 26 attendees and 14 were officeholders and/or candidates.,it is mighty close to Election Time.

Karns Republican President Roger Kane provided a couple homemade cobblers as is the custom most of the time.
