The Knox County Commission in the work session had a Resolution about the Knox County Merit System for Sheriff’s Employees concerning legal counsel where they are embroiled in legal matters by Sheriff Spanky Spangler’s outside counsel Gary Prince in a Martha Dooley Grievance hearing and the Knox County Law Director in a Nathan Cole Grievance hearing. 

Sheriff Spanky Spangler also has Prince representing him in the Grievance Hearings of Raymond Moore and John Harmon. Additionally, there is a Grievance hearing in Officer (cant recall first name) Kidd and a another hearing of a female administrative person (can’t recall either name) that I recall earlier this year that Law Department Attorney Houston Havesty was representing Sheriff Spanky. 

Ultimately the resolution about legal counsel failed due to 2 yes votes, four no votes and five pass votes. Those five Commissioners some are my friends, so they can get pissed off, it will not be the first or last time, I piss someone off. BUT, your job is to cast the yeas and the nays, NOT pass and by the way a pass is a NO. So do the damn job.
