Today January 25, 2022, I received photos of a political sign in front of Sacred Ground a residential hospice facility that according to it’s own website, is a 501c3. Additionally, I am told that it is connected to Cindy (simp, nickname from her mother) Clark Bradley, widow of a former unsuccessful candidate for Knox County Sheriff.
From the Scared Ground Hospice website, here. “As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community faith based residential hospice.”
From the Internal Revenue Service, here “Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.Sep 23, 2021”
I am told that Sheriff Spangler’s outside legal counsel has been informed by a Chancellor twice to serve Subpoena’s, so it may not be a surprise that IRS code gets confused with local election campaign activity.
