In somewhat of a party line vote, Spencer Reed was selected as a Knox County Magistrate replacing Ray Jenkins (who recently resigned)

Last week at Work Session, Commissioner Rhonda Lee really grilled the candidates over their past and then tonight, she announced she is conflicted and must recuse herself. What did she not know last week that she knew this week?

John Schoonmaker launched into attacks for the interviews or lack thereof. Schoonmaker calling out Judges Davis, Long, Stansberry and Jackson twice. Leaving Judge Cerny out of his personal laundry list.

Commissioners Lundy and Madam Chair Durrett voting for Troy Jones. Commissioner Oster, Ward, Hill, Beeler, Dailey, at large seat 10 and Frazier voting for Spencer Reed. Lee recusing herself and Schoonmaker passing.

At large Seat 10 made a motion to stop nominations (he said because both had been nominated) All he did was cut off Frazier at large Seat 11 from passing. My guess is getting out worked, out classed and being the least liked at large member will do that to one. Trying to snuff out Frazier’s glow will only cast seat 10 into a darker abyss.
