Yesterday December 16, 2023 the swearing in for the Officeholders for the next four years occurred and reorganization of the Council.

Being sworn in for four years, Mayor Indya Kincannon, at Large Councilwoman Lynne Fugate, at Large Councilwoman Debbie Helsley, at Large Councilwoman Amelia Parker, Fifth District Councilman Charles Thomas and City Judge Tyler Caviness.

The City Council reorganized and elected First District Councilman Tommy Smith as Vice-Mayor. Thus replacing Vice-Mayor Andrew Roberto. Roberto is still Second District Councilman. Fourth District Councilwoman Lauren Rider is the Beer Board Chair. Thus replacing Janet Testerman, who opted not to seek election to Council in 2023. The rookie Councilwoman Debbie Helseley was selected as the Representative on the Knoxville Transit Authority Board aka public bus transportation.
