Last evening September 24, 2024 the Three Rivers Republican Club (Eighth and Ninth Districts) hosted Retired Congressman Rep. John J. Duncan, Jr.

Here is Duncan, Jr.’s talk last night.

The best Congressman in my lifetime (in my humble opinion) Duncan, Jr. followed his father Rep. John J Duncan, Sr. in Congress. I was a much younger youth during his term. My fourth grade teacher had said that after a trip to my Great Grandmother’s (outside of DC) and a visit to Congress that its all I talked about, thus the love of politics.

The most active campaigns of Retired Duncan, Jr. that I assisted and most proud of our results was 1998 and 2014. I did not do “in my humble opinion” enough in 1988 (first campaign)

During my Knox County School Board service 2000-2004 and my service as East District Director of TN School Boards Association. Every time I visited Washington, Rep. Duncan, Jr. hosted Cleveland City School Board member Bill Brown and I in the Congressional Dining Room with a tour through the tunnel underneath the buildings.
