It is unfortunate that Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen doesn’t have the same values. Governor Phil made millions on managed health care and can’t fix TennCare, which was his #1 campaign promise. Governor Phil then creates a pre-k program to chew up dollars like a buzz saw, when he has yet to solve the low test scores, especially in the urban areas.

There is a political reason for Bredesen, his legacy and results will not be held accountable for success until the first pre-k’er graduates high school in 12-16 years. By then Governor Phil will be in a retirement house in Townsend, TN next door to Governor Don, sharing laughs and coffee on the front porch.
