On Saturday, while some of us were watching basketball. Knox County Commission Chair Gina Oster and some volunteers, picked up what had been thrown out and down.

A constituent had called Oster about her daughter being concerned about the effect of the trash on wildlife. So, Oster put the call out for help. Now had no one shown up, Oster would have done it alone. But at least 12 other volunteers arrived to help clean up along the greenway and Cross Park Drive. That is kinda near Bridgewater and I-40.

Thirteen people in 2 hours collected a tire, a shopping cart and 13 or so bags of clutter.
