Yesterday (Wednesday May 14) Evening the Knox County Republican Party hosted members of the Tennessee General Assembly at the Bearden Banquet Hall for a Republican Legislators Town Hall. I had a commitment and was unable to attend.
However, more than a couple sources of #TheMegaBullhornofTruth reported to me that the leader of the Republican Club that meets at the red seafood restaurant sparked a lively reaction from Deputy Speaker Jason Zachary. The red fish leader was talking about closed primaries and made a reference to the legislators for not supporting right to life and Zachary responded quite adamantly and lively.

While with a family commitment, I was able to watch and listen to a virtual NEA Town Hall on Public Education, hosted by the NEA Republican Caucus. They had the NEA President Becky Pringle, David Kinsella and Ben Grisby two members of the NEA Republican Caucus and three panelist, Ovidia Molina from Texas, Peggy Hoy from Idaho and Peter Oppenheim from Tennessee (whose work has been more on the Federal level)
Many of the questions and discussion was on the impact of losing federal funds and how those funds may be replaced by state and local funds. One comment from Moderator Grisby was the encouragement of the NEA Republican Caucus members to become engaged in state and local Republican parties.
