The City of Knoxville buzzed with excitement as the Primary Election results rolled in, setting the stage for a thrilling General Election on November 4, 2025. With voters turning out to shape the future of our city, the numbers tell a story of fierce competition, community engagement, and some surprising outcomes. Let’s dive into the results and celebrate the candidates moving forward!

First District: Adams and Jones Secure Their Spots

In a four-way race, Karyn Adams led the pack with a commanding 914 votes, followed by Becky Jones with 331 votes. Lindsey Jaremko came in third with 309 votes, and Charles Van Morgan trailed with 59 votes. A total of 1,613 votes were cast, reflecting strong voter turnout. Adams and Jones will face off in November, promising a spirited contest for the First District seat. Thank you to Lindsey for advertising here on #TheMegaBullhornofTruth with only a 22 vote difference in third place and second place, Jaremko has a strong organization and a future political leadership opportunity, I predict. Jaremko and Jones shared many of the same views during the campaign forums.

Second District: Honeycutt Dominates, Watts Holds Strong

Nathan Honeycutt surged ahead in the Second District, securing 1,482 votes to Melody Watts386 votes, with a total of 1,868 votes cast. Honeycutt’s landslide victory sets up an intriguing matchup against Watts in the General Election. The Second District is poised for a lively campaign as these two vie for the council seat.

Third District: Lloyd and Ramey Advance

The Third District saw a tight race, with Doug Lloyd earning 694 votes and Frank Ramey close behind with 506 votes. Ivan Harmon garnered 261 votes, and Nick Ciparro rounded out the field with 165 votes. With 1,626 votes cast, Lloyd and Ramey will advance to November, ready to make their case to voters in what promises to be a competitive race.

Fourth District: A YUGE Battle Awaits!

The Fourth District lived up to its billing as the “YUGEST fight” of the night, with a whopping 2,849 votes cast. Matthew Debardelaben took the lead with 1,589 votes, followed by Jeff Talman with 1,067 votes, and Jane George with 193 votes. Debardelaben and Talman will face off in November, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown that’s sure to keep Knoxville talking.

Sixth District: Grant Shines Bright After Public Meeting Drama

Fresh off a heated public meeting about the City of Knoxville’s controversial “deal” with Emerald Youth—selling 12.7 acres for $913,000 and impacting the Tennessee Valley Fair—Denzel Grant emerged as the frontrunner in the Sixth District. On Election Day, Grant secured 248 votes, followed by Stan Johnson with 167 votes, Lawrence “Man” Williams with 93 votes, Charles Frazier with 40 votes, and George “Cat Dad” Raudenbush with 33 votes, for a daily total of 581 votes.

The overall tallies for the Sixth District show Grant leading with 566 votes, Johnson with 488 votes, Williams with 281 votes, Frazier with 130 votes, and Raudenbush with 94 votes, totaling 1,559 votes cast. Grant and Johnson will advance to the General Election, setting up a clash that’s sure to draw attention given the district’s recent spotlight.
