More than 80 Republicans packed the room last night for the Knoxville Federated Republican Women candidate forum, where grassroots energy was on full display ahead of the upcoming county elections.
The evening featured the three Republican candidates for Knox County Mayor — Kim Frazier, Betsy Henderson, and Larsen Jay — each outlining their vision for leadership, growth, and fiscal stewardship in Knox County. The discussion highlighted differences in management style, priorities, and long-term planning for the county’s future.
Voters also heard from the four Republican candidates for Knox County Sheriff — David Amburn, Mike Davis, Brent Gibson, and Jimmy “JJ” Jones. Each candidate addressed public safety, department leadership, and community engagement, offering contrasting perspectives on experience and reform within the Sheriff’s Office.
I was honored to serve as moderator for the evening, guiding the discussion and ensuring each candidate had the opportunity to share their positions with attendees.
For those unable to attend, the entire event was live-streamed on the Knoxville Federated Republican Women’s platform and can be viewed here
With strong attendance and engaged participation, the forum underscored the high level of interest and enthusiasm surrounding these important local races.
