Marsha Blackburn today weighed in on the proposed data center planned near the Nashville Zoo.

In a video posted to social media, Marsha Blackburn said: “Let me be direct: data centers are going to be a good and important part of Tennessee’s economic growth. But, we’ve got to be thoughtful about their placement. There are so many communities across the state who want data centers, but we’ve got to look at this placement of a data center up against the Nashville Zoo, which is a very important educational resource for our children, and it’s also an important economic engine. So, since there are so many counties that want these, communities that want these, let’s be careful on this placement. I was a part of that board when the zoo was getting started; we’re pleased with how it has grown to serve our community. Let’s revisit this placement.”
