Knox County Young Republicans Draw Strong Crowd at Founding Fathers Fest in Lakeshore Park

The Knox County Young Republicans hosted a successful Founding Fathers Fest today at Lakeshore Park in Knoxville, bringing together Republicans from across Knox County for an afternoon of fellowship, food, and grassroots engagement.

Held at the Rustic Pavilion inside Lakeshore Park, the event featured hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the fixings in a relaxed summer setting that encouraged conversations between voters, elected officials, candidates, and community leaders. Lakeshore Park continues to serve as one of Knoxville’s premier gathering spaces and community destinations.

Attendance appeared to exceed 200 people throughout the event, making it one of the larger Republican grassroots gatherings of the summer season in Knox County. Families, longtime activists, first-time attendees, and engaged voters filled the pavilion and surrounding areas.

More than a few elected officials and candidates seeking office in the August 6, 2026 Knox County General Election and State and Federal Primary made appearances, visiting with attendees and discussing the issues and priorities facing Knox County, Tennessee, and the nation.

Events like Founding Fathers Fest remind everyone that politics is not just about campaign mailers and television ads—it remains about face-to-face conversations, building relationships, and encouraging citizens to participate in the process.

theMegaBullhornofTruth.com reminds all Republicans that participation in the August 6 Republican Primary carries importance in maintaining your personal Republican bona fide status under State of Tennessee Republican party bylaws and rules.. Early Voting for the August 6 election begins July 17 and continues through August 1.

The Knox County Young Republicans continue demonstrating that the future of the party is strengthened through engagement, outreach, and creating opportunities for people of all ages to connect beyond election season.

With food on the grill, conversations around the pavilion, and candidates meeting voters directly, Founding Fathers Fest provided another reminder that local politics begins at the grassroots level.
