Today, U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) released the following statement after meeting with President Trump’s nominee for U.S. Attorney General, Todd Blanche, to discuss his upcoming confirmation hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee:

“As Acting Attorney General, Todd Blanche has already demonstrated his ability to hold fraudsters accountable for stealing billions of dollars from American taxpayers, crack down on violent crime, and restore a one-tiered system of justice after four years of the Biden DOJ’s corruption under Merrick Garland,” said Senator Blackburn. “The American people watched in horror as the Biden administration weaponized the federal government time and time again, and they sent President Trump back to the White House to return the DOJ to its core mission of enforcing the rule of law. I am confident Acting Attorney General Blanche is the right choice to carry out this mandate from the American people, and I look forward to voting to confirm him.”
