But this tournament is about much more than golf.
It is about a little girl named Annabella — Bella — and how one family took one of the most frightening experiences imaginable and turned it into a mission to help other families when their worlds are suddenly turned upside down.

In September 2021, Everything Changed
Bella was only six years old when months of unexplained sickness eventually led a doctor to recommend an MRI, simply to “rule out” a brain tumor.
Instead, the MRI revealed the unimaginable.
Doctors discovered a rare brain tumor known as a Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma, roughly the size of a small grapefruit.
What was supposed to be an outpatient MRI became an immediate admission to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Less than 20 hours later, Bella underwent emergency brain surgery.
In an instant, everything changed for Bella and her family.
Yet in the middle of the fear, uncertainty and hospital rooms, Bella remained Bella.
Before surgery, while in the ICU, six-year-old Bella put on a fashion show for the nurses, confidently strutting through the halls in her sparkly unicorn zip-up pajamas.
Think about that for a moment.
A six-year-old facing brain surgery—and she was bringing smiles and joy to the people around her.
When Friends Become a Blessing
As Bella’s parents waited late into the night to meet with her surgeon, something else began happening.
People showed up.
Jayme’s best friend, Nikki, went to their home and gathered clothes, snacks, phone chargers and anything else she thought the family might need. They had arrived at the hospital expecting a simple outpatient appointment. Suddenly, they had no idea when they would be going home.
Then their friend Laura arrived with something very important to a frightened six-year-old: Bella’s favorite meal, a cheese quesadilla from Salsarita’s.
It may sound like a small thing.
It wasn’t.
In a hospital filled with unfamiliar faces, frightening conversations and uncertainty, that quesadilla represented comfort and a little piece of normal life.
Their church family surrounded them as well, providing a gift card for meals and, most importantly, praying over the family.
During one of the most overwhelming moments of their lives, they knew they were not alone.
Then They Looked Around the ICU
As Bella’s family experienced that incredible support, they began noticing other families around them.
Some had traveled considerable distances. Some had come from other states.
And many did not have what Bella’s family had.
They didn’t have friends nearby who could run home and grab a phone charger.
They didn’t have someone around the corner who knew their child’s favorite meal.
They didn’t necessarily have a local church family ready to surround them.
They were facing some of the most frightening days of their lives far away from home and without a local support system.
Following Bella’s successful surgery, and with the guidance and encouragement of their “guardian angel” and “magic maker,” Cheryl, Bella’s parents felt called to do something.
Bella’s Blessings was born.
Turning a Difficult Journey Into a Mission
The mission behind Bella’s Blessings is beautifully simple: remove as much worry and burden as possible so parents can concentrate on what matters most—their child and their recovery.
Through tangible support, thoughtful care and intentional generosity, Bella’s Blessings seeks to be there for families who unexpectedly find themselves in the hospital.
Bella’s family would never wish their journey on another family.
But as they prepared to leave the hospital and move forward with Bella’s recovery, they recognized something they couldn’t forget:
While their family was beginning the next chapter, another family was just beginning the frightening first chapter of their own journey.
Bella’s Blessings exists for those families.
Now, Let’s Tee It Up for Bella’s Blessings!
That brings us to Monday, September 21, 2026.
The Bella’s Blessings Golf Tournament will be held at Three Ridges Golf Course in Knoxville, bringing people together for a day of golf while supporting a mission born from compassion, generosity and one courageous little girl.
Every golfer, sponsor, volunteer and supporter is helping Bella’s Blessings continue being there for families when an ordinary day suddenly becomes anything but ordinary.
There are plenty of golf tournaments.
This one has a story. This one has a mission. And this one is truly about being a blessing.
So on Monday, September 21, let’s tee it up for Bella, her family and all those families who may unexpectedly find themselves walking through the same hospital doors.
That is a mission worth supporting—and a story worth sharing from #TheMegaBullhornofTruth.
