Today, is the day. Mother’s Day 2007. I feel very fortunate to have a Wife that is a wonderful Mother to our 3 children. 19 years of marriage, we are certainly up against the odds on that one. I feel fortunate to have my Mother and Mother in law and one of my grandmother’s still living.

I am a better person for the 4 ladies that today influence my life. I may not always be the best husband, son, grandson or son in law. But I am better because of the ladies in my life.

With that said. I was blessed to have had my other grandmother in my life until the early 1980’s. I was blessed to have been influenced by my wife’s two grandmothers. One of my wife’s grandmother’s was known as Nana and a special woman she was. Not only did she place a high priority on her family but also the many young peoples lives that she touched at Carter Elementary, there she instilled a love of reading in many kids lives and her influence is in those lives today.

I am a blessed man. I only hope that I can honor the blessing that God has given me and honor the people that he has put into my life in an adequate manner.
