Our Knox County tax dollars are being wasted by the Knox County Election Administrator Greg Mackay. He has created the position that he gave to the runner-up for Administrator and is paying him $83,000.00. Mackay NEVER had a Deputy before. Where is this $83,000.00 coming from? Did they eliminate 4 office positions to fund this one job? If this money was not approved by County Commission. It needs to be. All five of the Election Administrators should be replaced for allowing Mackay to do this.
Here is the job posting as provided by Ray H. Jenkins, Knox County Republican Party Chairman through a comment of the first Brian’s Blog post on this subject. It is interesting to note that the Deputy Administrator required a BS degree. But the Administrator only required a GED.
Also, for the record it seemed in yesterday’s announcement that they mentioned every job and award Frith has ever performed or received. They left out that right out of high school that he was a gopher employee for Sandra Clark at the Halls News, a weekly community newspaper that has become a five community newspaper, now owned by Bruce Hartmann and Jack McElroy.
