Yesterday, Knox County Commission began discussing the Guns in Parks Resolution. Congressman Zach Wamp was in town and came through the Main Assembly Room of the City County Building where the County Commission was meeting. Commissioner Greg “Lumpy” Lambert made the comment while he had the microphone “Maybe Congressman Wamp will speak to this issue” He didn’t need to. County Commission approved the Guns in Parks resolution by a vote of 13-5. Sources on the East Side of the sixth floor informed us that Mayor Haslam was hiding in his office on the sixth floor as his gubernatorial campaign hit the ditch.

Commissioner Ed Shouse was away. His father has recently passed away. Our prayers and thoughts are with Commissioner Shouse at this time.
