During the 11 p.m. newscast WATE aired a story about Commissioner Jeff Ownby’s first public meeting at the Bearden Bee Deselm Knox County Public Library.

It was his first public meeting since the indecent exposure charge he received in May. He would not address Mona Nair’s question about the incident.

The crowd was fairly sparse. With Commissioner David Wright, Weekly newspaper Publisher Steve Hunley, frequent political candidate Ruthie Kulhman and Ownby’s family.
