imageThe Tennessean reports that former State Rep and State Senator Roy Herron has decided to jump into the candidacy waters of Chairman of the TN Democrat Party. Herron a long time fixture in state democrat politics challenged Congressman Stephen Fincher in 2010 and lost to Fincher, a farmer from rural West Tennessee.

If the state Democrat Executive Committe were to decide to make their party credible (ineffective in elections) they would select Herron. However, I wouldn’t hold my breath they are capable of a credible decision.
