On Monday the Knox County School Board will meet in Work Session and will meet on Tuesday to vote on Dr. James P. McIntyre, Jr.’s recommendation that the New Southwest Elementary School be named “Northshore Elementary School”

The runner up was “Lakeside Elementary School” Hundreds of suggestions were emailed and a campaign was launched to name it after former Farragut Intermediate School Principal Robert Frazier. A panel of parents and teachers of the new school came to a consensus and submitted the name to Dr. McIntyre.

Northshore Elementary School is a good name. Great job in the committee’s due diligence and work.
