Now that the Carter community has a NEW Carter Elementary School. What is the future of Old Carter? It should be torn down. Sources have rumored that at least one or two religious groups and the Boys and Girls Club have made inquiries.

First, the School Board contended that the building still had structural vitality. The Mayor and County Commission contended that it was well past it’s ability to be functional. Now, with a New Carter the old Carter should be torn down and Knox County should do so quickly to reduce any liabilities.
