County Commissioner Ed Shouse has made it official. He will be a candidate for Trustee in 2014. I first met Shouse when he was running a bank out of a temporary trailer on the corner of Cedar Bluff and Peters Road. That corner has had a permanent bank branch built, torn down and now another one is currently under construction.

After an extensive career in banking, he went into the railroad business. All during this time, he served on city council and now County Commission. He is a public servant that doesn’t draw attention to himself.

He is one of the few individuals that could manage and run the county Trustee office with a fresh set of eyes and has the private sector experience to do the job.
