My wife and I attended a Holiday dinner celebrating advertiser Construction Plus’ 25th Anniversary Wednesday night at Fox Den Country Club. Coach John Majors was the guest speaker and gave a great talk about his heritage and career to the packed room. He even displayed one of his favorite football moves on slipping tackles, leaving CPI President Sandy Loy grabbing for air!
The event was attended by several local Architects, CPI employees, and friends and clients of CPI, including Sandy’s sister Claudia Loy who was there with her new love interest, Richard McDaniel, a high level executive with Team Health.
The attendees all received footballs personalized and signed by Coach Majors, as well as 8×10 photos of Majors kneeling on Shield-Watkins Field. Coach Majors seemed thrilled to be the new spokesperson for CPI. BrianHonback.Com is also happy to be on the CPI/Majors winning team!
On a personal note, before leaving for the dinner. I grabbed my copy of You Can Go Home Again by Johnny Majors and Ben Byrd and asked Coach Majors to sign it. I had forgotten that my parents had given me the book for Valentines Day in 1987. Here is how the page looks today.
