Ed Brantley, a Candidates for County Commission at Large Seat 11 has an ad that began today. Ed is the former WIVK radio on air talent that hosted the Sunday morning Community Affairs talk show “Soundoff” before talk radio became popular. He left the on air position and ran WIVK behind the scenes. Most recently, a few years ago he went to work for WNOX in a talk show format with co-host Bob Thomas with a morning drive talk show “The Ed and Bob Show” sometime around mid year last year. WNOX was bought out and Ed retired to his farm in Hardin Valley where he has been devoting his off time farming. Ed now sees an opportunity to give back to the community and is seeking the position of County Commission at Large Seat 11. He faces Michele Carringer in the May 6 Republican Primary.
