Financial disclosures were due on Thursday April 10, 2014. This is the first time this election cycle that I have looked at any of them. In the District 6 Knox County School Board race. Candidate Tamara Shepherd who seems to enjoy nit picking people over on KnoxViews was also apparently argumentative and disruptive with School Board Vice Chair and District 1 Member of the board Gloria Deathridge in a recent forum. She also predicted a shouting match could ensue (see screen shot below) at the Candidate Forum held this past Thursday.
In examining her financial disclosures, looking at the report dated 2-3-2014 she has apparently missed the understanding of aggregate of this election. The correct meaning is the aggregate for each contributor for an election. On page 3 of the 8 page report, she list two contributions from a Charles E. Jensen. on 11-27-2013 he gave $1,500 with an aggregate of $2,700 for the Primary and on the same date he gave $1,000 for the General Election with an aggregate of $3,700. When you add the two aggregates together for the two contributors, it is $6,400. By the way, the limit is $1,500 for the Primary and $1,500 for the General. Jensen could give $3,000 but not $6,400. Shepherd is expected to be one of nine in handling two thirds of Knox County’s budget? There are two legitimate candidates in this race Terry Hill and Bradley Buchanan. Come on folks.
