Does County Mayor Tim Burchett need an exit or an excuse? Mike Donila has this post that apparently when the first story of Burchett’s Metro Government proposal was reported last week and subsequent other reports like yesterday’s story on WBIR and my speculation on BrianHornback.Com this morning it seems that Burchett is back tracking a bit.

You see Donila reports that Burchett hasn’t even talked to the City yet. Well, if he can’t walk down the end of the hallway to discuss it with Mayor Rogero. Surely, he hasn’t talked to Farragut mayor Ralph McGill and the Town of Farragut’s Alderman Board either.

Why Burchett has not publicly said within the last week that he hasn’t talked to anyone yet and is being labeled as a Metro Government proponent to be discussed for almost a week is part of the failed leadership of Burchett.

Just like when Burchett flip flopped on the James White Parkway expansion and when pushed as he entered the Round Up Restuarant one day on camera and the mayor says well what I said was and states something entirely different than what he really said. However, the media doesn’t go back to see what he said and follow up with the Mayor is either forgetful or deceitful.
