Greg Lonas went to the Knox County Commission this afternoon speaking about “saving our holiday” He was talking about the 28 year Boomsday fireworks show. He said it is a free fireworks show. It is not, someone must pay for it. Visit Knoxville tried to make it a ticketed event last year and there was much angst and discontent from a few elected officials. That was when “our holiday” could have been saved.
