It was nip and tuck during the results, but Businessman Paul Bonovich will challenge Finbarr Saunders for City Council at Large Seat C. Bonovich received 560 votes to neighborhood activist David Williams 515 to Downtown activist Kelly Absher with 478 votes. Saunders received 2,772. This race generated the most votes within the city, 4,325 total votes cast. Saunders begins tonight with 1,553 votes (Bonovich, Williams and Absher combined) against him. The field is reset with a General Election date of November 3, 2015.

In City Council at Large Seat B, Marshall Stair received 3,194 votes to Pete Drew‘s 873. However, the field is reset and now the two will face off through the General election on November 3, 2015.

In City Council Fifth District Mark Campen received 229 votes to Challenger Jennifer Mirtes 113. They now face off citywide, not only in the fifth district, in the General Election of November 3, 2015.

In City Council at Large Seat A, George Wallace is unopposed in the November 3rd General election. In the primary election 3,344 individuals cast votes for Wallace.

In the Knoxville Municipal Judge race, Judge John Rosson, Jr. received 3,641 votes and advances to the November 3, 2015 General election without opposition.

In the Knoxville Mayor’s race, Write-in candidate Jack Knoxville received 46 votes. That feat alone is impressive. That 46 people wrote in Knoxville’s name with a miserable turnout and 46 had to work to write Knoxville in. Mayor Madeline Rogero earns a second term with 3,711 votes.

In the TN House District 14, Jason Zachary is legitimate now with his unopposed General election win with 210 votes. The Knox County Democrat Party couldn’t find one Democrat to run for a special election. That says more about the local democrat party than I am willing to waste typing energy on.

Tonight, BrianHornback.Com issues well earned respect to our advertiser David Williams for his strong effort and Congratulations to Primary winners Mark Campen, George Wallace and Paul Bonovich.
