Today on KnoxNews.Com on the PoltiKnox tidbits we find this about recent brain thrusts of Jason Zachary.

Local legislators held a lunch this past week with local delegation members from the Tennessee General Assembly, Knox County Board of Education members, and Knox County commissioners.

They talked policy goals for the county, but veered into other areas too.

Freshman 14th District Rep. Jason Zachary, during a discussion on funding roads, touted a plan to take fuel tax money and put it toward the state’s transportation fund.

“The bill we’re working on will push that back to TDOT,” Zachary said, “to reallocate those funds.”

Knox County Commissioner Brad Anders is no stranger to elected office, or managing budgets. He knows that money pulled from one area in a government must be made up elsewhere.

“What do we cut in the general fund?” Anders asked Zachary.

“That’s a good question,” Zachary replied, providing no other direct response. He then moved to another topic.

Jason obviously writes or works with someone on writing a bill and doesn’t consider all aspects of his legislation. Watching him get stumped in Nashville for every bill because he doesn’t do the necessary due diligence will make some YouTube hits. Yes, in 2015 JZ was the lesser of two evils but with him stumping his toe this early will give lots and lots of blog material.

Let us not forget he is supporting his campaign coordinator for a position on the school board, opposing Lori Boudreaux who has an earned bachelors, two masters and a doctorate of education. Of course this coming from a guy that in a 2014 web interviews said that post high school education was five years of waste.
