Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Shoney’s located at 4410 Western Avenue in Knoxville, TN the Center City Republican Club will meet. The two candidates for Knox Co Law Director and the three Knox Co Property Assessor candidates will present themselves. This will be the first public meeting of Bud Armstrong and Nathan Rowell, the two candidates for Knox Co Law Director. Sources indicate they may be taping WBIR’s Inside TN earlier that day, however the television program will not air until Sunday. So, come meet the guys Thursday.

As for the three Knox Co Property Assessor candidates, Andrew Graybeal, Jim Weaver and John Whitehead, they have been together many times since their first meeting at the East Knoxville Community Meeting in early December 2015. Last Sunday’s airing of WBIR’s Inside TN between the three of them should make this meeting potentially more explosive.

A frustration of mine this month is the many Republican clubs that have had Armstrong as their speaker without Rowell’s attendance. It has given the appearance that the clubs have not been impartial to both Republican candidates. Today, I have been told that the Concord/Farragut Republican Club is not going to have a February meeting where they were planning to have two of the three Fifth District Knox Co School Board Members to speak. Last month they had one of the three. The one candidate that spoke last month, is the least educated of the three and has been a pre-school employee of a church daycare for the past year, her previous work experience before that has been as a clothing buyer for a now defunct department store.

As for Armstrong, this snip it of a recent advertisement, image
