It is hard for me to take credit where credit is due, especially when it is me. However, I would be disservice to myself not to point out that 24 hours ago, Republican candidate Carson Dailey’s Treasurer called me to explain why they would not file their campaign finance disclosure until February 23, 2016. I disagreed, but researched their reasoning, it was solid and acceptable. I reported it and as is MY prerogative as an editorial/opinion writer presented my view. By 4:30 pm on Febraury 4, 2016 (about 24 hours later) Carson filed his 2/1/2016 disclosure with the Knox County Election Commission.

Not bad for an almost 12 year old website that gets a lot of criticism and not much credit. But this is my passion improving my community and keeping the field level and properly calling the balls, strikes and fouls.
