There has been much discussion about the legal matter between Steve Hall -v- Martin Daniel, a particular quote from candidate Bryan Dodson in this July 27, 2016 WBIR story raised a few eyebrows.

While Dodson said he could verify that Daniel assaulted Hall, he also said he thought Hall should drop the matter.

“He should be a bigger man and let this go,” said Dodson, who added he had spoken with a KPD investigator.

It raised some eyebrows primarily because Dodson has his own legal past. According to documents, Dodson had a July 30, 2003 criminal judgement for possession of Drug paraphernalia with costs, a fine of $150 and order to “stay out Kroger” Additionally, there is a misdemeanor citation for an incident of Soliciting Prostitution on Sunday March 28, 2010, according to the citation Dodson was to report to the City County Building at 7:30 am on April 7, 2010 for booking.

Early Voting ends tomorrow Saturday July 30, 2016 for the Republican TN House District 18 seat, the four candidates are James Corcoran, Daniel, Dodson and Hall. Election Day is Thursday August 4, 2016.
