I am sharing this for my friend Kim Arms. “It is with hesitation that I make this request but my mother has been in/out of the hospital and a nursing home for the last few months with lung cancer. During just the last week she has needed 4 units of platelets at $1,000 each…..ORNL (from where she is retired) insurance and Medicare don’t cover platelets. IF you donate blood would you please ask for it to be for Juanita Pearman in Lenioir City TN. She won’t receive the actual blood but the platelets. The donation has to be through Medic. The Farragut Medic is on Kingston Pike behind Pittsburgh Paint (just past Wendy’s going east). The main Medic office is off Ailor Avenue near I-40 and 17th street.
