Last Saturday’s annual legislative breakfast hosted by the League of Women Voters of Knoxville/Knox County was cancelled due to inclement weather. It was rescheduled for this morning. There was a much larger crowd then I expected, creating an over flow Community Room inside the Big Metal Shed on the Hill aka Knox News Sentinel building.

Attendees included, Knox County Trustee Ed Shouse, Knox County Commission Chairman David Wright, Knox County Commissioners Evelyn Gill and John Schoonmaker, Knox County Commission at large Seat 10 candidate Justin Biggs, Knoxville City Councilman Finbarr Saunders, Knox County Election Commissioner Andrew Roberto, Former Knoxville Mayor Randy Tyree, Former State Representative Tom Jensen, Democrat Pundit on TN This Week Cortney Piper and Knoxville City Council District Four candidate Lauren Rider.

There were several interest groups present that stated their own position within their questions. The only incident that was disrespectful was when Renee Hoyos with Clean Water Network attempted to challenge McNally with if his answer was a yes or no. She must have missed the first line of his answer when he said I supported it in the past but it did not pass then due to the fiscal note.
