Monday at 9 am the Knox County Mayor presented his next to last County Budget. Most of the City County Building was there. Even County Clerk Foster Arnett ventured near the mold to attend.

One person not there was Fourth District Knox County Commissioner Hugh Nystrom. So, the word was that maybe Nystrom was the one guy that was held back in the event that something happened, he would be the one to take charge. Just like when the President addresses Congress, one Person stays back at the White House.

2018 Knox County Commissioner at Large candidates Justin Biggs and Larsen Jay were present. Robert Lawrence Smith, who is under investigation for alleged sexual assault was NOT present. 2018 Knox County Mayor candidates Jimmy JJ Jones and Bob Thomas were present. Glenn Jacobs was not. 2018 Knox County Clerk candidate Sherry Witt was present, Roger Kane was not. 2018 Knox County Register of Deeds candidate Nick McBride was present. 2018 Knox County Circuit, Civil Sessions and Juvenile Court Clerk candidates Tim Wheeler, Charles Susano were present. Don Ridings and Scott Smith were not present. *Don Ridings posted a comment on my Facebook page that said that he had work obligations at 9 am on Monday.
