Tonight at 7 p.m. Knox County Commissioner at Large Bob Thomas and a 2018 Knox County Mayor candidate will be the Speaker at the West Knoxville Republican Club. The meeting is held at the West Knoxville Red Lobster along Kingston Pike. The primary election for Knox County Mayor and other positions is May 1, 2018.

Also tonight at 7 p.m. the Town Hall East will host the candidates for Knoxville City Council. The City of Knoxville primary elections are August 29, 2017. City Council districts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 are available and NO incumbent is eligible for reelection. So, its a free for all.

The meeting will be held in the fellowship hall of Eastminister Presbyterian Church located at 4904 Asheville Highway in East Knoxville. A beautiful church, where my family were members in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s and I served as Deacon and Elder.
