The Tennessee gas tax goes into effect on Saturday July 1, 2017. Tonight at the Cross County Patriots meeting it was announced that several grass root groups that opposed the gas tax are asking for a boycott, fill up your gas tanks on Friday June 30 and do not purchase gas in the first couple of days of the legislative implementation of the gas tax increase. Also, in Knoxville at the Pilot on Lovell Road from 11 am – 1 pm there is a planned peaceful protest.
