Knoxville, TN July 26, 2017 – Wayne Christensen, candidate for Knoxville City Council, 2nd District issues the following statement.

“Our City of Knoxville Police Officers are some of the finest police officers in the United States. The removal of the biblical scripture at the Knoxville Police Headquarters is once again an attack from outside influences on our local policies. I do not believe that the Knoxville Police Department should bow to out-of-state influences, but respect Chief Rausch‘s decision. I call on Brandon Bruce and Andrew Roberto to support me in supporting the City of Knoxville’s Police Department to display this quote of defense and support, that I’m sure our police officer’s take solace in on a daily basis while protecting the citizens of this city.”
