Tomorrow the Knox County Ethics Committee will Meet. Will they accept the Law Directors biased good ole boy coverup of an investigation? (which he wasn’t authorized by Charter or procedure to do) Will they dig into the allegation? Will they dig into the law director for an investigation he wasn’t authorized to perform?
The most intriguing aspect is that in the last month or two South Knox County Commissioner Carson Dailey led the Commission to raise their daily limit from $35 to $50. BUT not one Commissioner objected to two Commissioners admission in the Knoxville News Sentinel of accepting a $500 voucher/gift certificate/gift card.
West Knox County Commissioner John Schoonmaker is an ex officio member of the Ethics Commission will he look the other way that two of his colleagues took $500 gifts on ONE day?
