One of the benchmarks of Mayor Madeline Rogero’s eight years as Knoxville Mayor is the Cumberland Avenue redesign. Unlike former Mayor Ashe who has personal biased vendetta against Rogero.

I witnessed something two weeks ago that signaled one major fail of Rogero. The Cumberland Avenue redesign. I was at Starbucks on the Strip sitting on the patio, in my phone, heard car horns blowing and looked up to see that Starbucks drive thru backed to the street, thus blocking the street as far as I could see at least one and a half city blocks.

So the redesign has caused stalemate, road rage and this was on a week day at 10 am. Not a busy time at all.
