In the Republican Primary in TN State House District 89 Justin Lafferty bested Former Knox County Sheriff, Former State Senator, a Knoxville Attorney and a Knoxville Medical Doctor. Lafferty was one of the first to announce, first to knock on doors. During his first talks he talked about being a Stay at Home Dad. In recent weeks, he has refrained from discussing that occupation.

In the Democrat Primary Coleen Martinez bested one other candidate. She too has discussed her voluteer investment in the community. She has described herself as a Stay at Home Mom.!

So on November 6 it appears that District 89 is choosing between Stay at Home Dad -v- Stay at Home Mom.
