Last night I heard through the Admiral grapevine that Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs would be speaking to the Seniors at Farragut High School. After communication with the Mayor’s office and the Knox County Schools Public Affairs, I was cleared to attend the 2:30 pm talk. Of course having been a former Knox County School Board Member and the boards Vice Chairman, I know the board policy about not photographing minors.

In his talk, Mayor Jacobs talked about being a young football player and becoming injured, how he had to change his plans. He ended his talk by encouraging and getting the Seniors to pledge to finish this school year and to be at Graduation. Mayor Jacobs told them that he would be at their Graduation as well.
