Yesterday the TN Legislature went into session, while they are in session they are prohibited from seeking or receiving campaign contributions.

Gloria Johnson and Rick Staples Democrat Representatives from Knox County still have DONATE/Contribute buttons on their websites.

When I brought this up on Republican Jason Zachary a year or so ago. Drew Rawlins, who is the executive director of the State’s Bureau of Ethics and Campaign Finance, said to News Channel 5 of Nashville that one button gives the appearance of soliciting donations.
