March 23 is a BrianHornback.Com Holiday. One that we will always honor, 117 years ago today, Orton Caswell “Cas” Walker was born in Sevier County, TN.

He was a grocer businessman, a promoter and a politician all three great roles. BUT, let us never forget he was the Ole Coon hunter.

He passed away on September 25, 1998 in Knoxville, TN. He held the powers to be accountable for their actions and words with his “The Watchdog” newspaper.

So, every March 23 we will Praise Cas for making East TN what it is and never forgetting what he did for us. Including, Dolly Parton and the Everly Brothers all that began on local tv on the Cas Walker Farm and Home Hour.
