What Makes it Right Now?

I noticed on Knox County Commissioner Carson Dailey’s Facebook page that the Knox County Sheriff’s Office is out cleaning up for a weekend community event.

This is a good thing. However, a few months ago Knox County Commissioner at Large Seat 11 Justin Biggs suggested in an effort for efficiency and to reinvest the tax dollars elsewhere to have have KCSO Inmate Industries to do the simple mowing and weed eating at Knox County Schools and owned properties.

Knox County Parks and Recreation already mows and maintains the parks.

Biggs proposal would have also reduced inmate population quicker as more inmates would earn 2 days intake for every 1 day of work. But that did not sit well with several Commissioners. So there ya go.
